A workers efficiency module development project in Erroca

Afek information systems engineering LTD. developed a Business Intelligence system for Erroca. Recently a workers efficiency module was added to the system

Afek I.S.’s core business is information systems, primarily: computerization consulting and systems analysis, application and assimilation of ERP systems, development of custom made software applications and systems, development & application of Business Intelligence (BI) systems and computer support services.

The need for a workers efficiency module originated from Erroca’s management need for accurate data regarding workers efficiency, both in connection to rewarding the workers and also regarding continued employment. This kind of data is especially important to Erroca during times of economical depression when an emphasis is placed upon rewarding and retaining efficient employees.

The big advantage in this module is that it allows a quantitative analysis of workers efficiency regarding total sales volume, hourly sales volume and regarding main item categories.

For example: it is possible to examine the sales average (per number of items or revenue) for each and every store in the country.

Another big advantage of this module is the “drill down” ability it enables from an overall view – such as sales per hour for all workers – to the specific – such as sales per hour for a certain worker.

These qualities make this module especially relevant for a retail chain such as Erroca, which is interested in analyzing and rewarding its employees on the basis of quantitative parameters.

The level of analysis, which is enabled with this module, allows Erroca to increase the level of efficiency in the organization, whether regarding workers allocation, workers rewarding method etc.

Erroca is currently examining its distribution activity with the purpose of finding a new and efficient solution to this process. Such a solution will be based upon item demand predictions according to past sales data and different parameters, which will be defined, by Erroca’s management. With this move Erroca aims to minimize the value and quantity of its stock through better management and supervision.

In the near future Erroca plans to add a new module that will deal with acquisition planning and which will relay greatly on sales projection and the existing stock and sales modules.

Erroca is a leading retail chain in the field of sunglasses and accessories. It has about 250 employees and 40 stores across Israel.
